Proto-jungle third album by A Guy Called Gerald recorded in Machine Room Studios, Manchester between 1990 and 1991. Released in 1992 on Juice Box Records.

'For me, it was the start of a new discipline. i'd already spent years from 1986 until 1990 creating music solely with drum machine and synthesisers using analogue sequencers ie. CV and Gate. In 1990 I discovered the ASQ10 sequencer, made by Roger Linn and Akai, and later when they added the pads it became the MPC-60. I started to sample drum sounds to enhance what I was already doing with the drum machines. Also I started to add drum loops. As the drum loops got longer and more intricate my first jungle tracks were born.

It was a crazy time in Manchester. I'll leave it at that. To be continued... '
